Sejong Half-Rack Reconfiguration — March 2025
A client running eight units across two half-rack shelves in a converted storage room contacted us after hash-rate dropped 12% over two months. They suspected failing units but could not isolate which shelf was affected.
Our visit: We logged hash-rate per U-position over four hours, mapped exhaust temperatures, and found that a relocated network switch was blocking 40% of the rear grille on Shelf B. Units on Shelf A performed within 2% of manufacturer claims; Shelf B units averaged 9% below.
Outcome: The client repositioned the switch and added a 40mm rear spacer bracket. A follow-up log two weeks later showed Shelf B units recovering to within 3% of rated output. Total engagement cost: ₩720,000 including the return verification visit.
