Rack Shelf Layout Assessment
Who This Is For
Operators who have already purchased or are about to install mining units rated at 0.05 TH/s or higher on a compact rack shelf — typically a half-rack (4–10 U) or a short full rack (up to 20 U) in a room, converted office, or small commercial space. If you are unsure whether your shelf layout is costing you hash-rate, this is the starting point.
What You Receive
A written report (PDF, English) containing:
- Photographs of each U-position, front and rear
- Intake and exhaust temperature readings at three heights
- Per-unit hash-rate log during a minimum two-hour sustained load
- Clearance measurements (front bezel to door, rear grille to wall/cable tray)
- Cable routing notes and PDU load per circuit
- A verdict per unit: shelf-ready, shelf-ready with conditions, or not recommended for this configuration
What Is Included
- On-site visit by a lead reviewer with thermal imaging equipment
- Hash-rate logging via our calibrated monitoring setup
- Post-visit report delivered within three business days
- One follow-up email for clarification questions
What Is Excluded
- Physical installation or relocation of units
- Electrical rewiring or PDU upgrades
- Bench testing of units not yet mounted (available as a separate service)
- Ongoing monitoring after the visit
Process
- Enquiry — You describe your shelf dimensions, unit count, and location via our contact form.
- Scope confirmation — We confirm visit date, fee, and any access requirements (keys, lift access, power-down windows).
- On-site assessment — Typically three to four hours depending on shelf count.
- Report delivery — PDF sent to your nominated email within three business days.
Preparation
- Ensure all units are powered and hashing (or can be powered on within thirty minutes of our arrival)
- Clear the aisle in front of and behind the rack for measurement access
- Have a facility contact available who can explain recent changes to the setup
